Could someone point out where we could get the latest Crystal 8.5 RDC components (main as well as database and export files)?
Trying to use the download site (https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm) doesn't lead to reliable results because entries that appear under a Crystal 8.5 filter actually belong to Crystal 9 or even 10.
I'm hunting for the most recent files because of pdf export failures. Even my development machine and even Crystal 8.5 itself is experiencing this problem (so I can't use the modules utility to isolate the issue). A separate thread (Re: Export to PDF) seems to indicate that using exportmodeller.dll (8.6.2.440) and crtslv.dll (8.6.1.726) solves that issue.
In case someone is tempted to deflect the question by suggesting I use later versions than 8.5, most of my users indeed use the more recent versions (I have 8.5, 9, XI R2, and 2008 versions). However, there are cases where the data source is simply not compatible with any Crystal version later than 8.5.
